About Kiwi Journals

Kiwi Journals came into our lives at the perfect time. We're Sarah & Hunter, storytellers who spent years traveling the globe and making documentary films (a few of which have been on Netflix!). So, we've seen the world through many different lenses. One thing's for sure: We all struggle. We all have dark days. And we all hope to help the kids of today lead better lives. In our life's work, we've always had the goal of offering perspective and helping others find a broader understanding of the world. Lately, we’ve been wondering - Does part of this understanding start from within? Kiwi Journals, sister company to New Zealand's Awesome Inc (founded by Nicky Perry), brings the power of positive psychology to simple, everyday practices anyone can learn before they reach a crisis point. Nicky created these well-being journals and other resources, under the brand name Awesome Inc., with her own family in mind, helping kids (and others) to grow up having life skills that will help them through life’s inevitable storms and contribute to the conversation around mental well-being, emotional resilience, health, and happiness. In an ever-changing world, shifting responsibilities, and raising "adults-becoming", the tools from Awesome Inc. resonated and now, called Kiwi Journals in the US, it's the perfect addition to our storytelling work.
