The Bitsy Boba Backstory: Bitsy Boba LLC is a small, woman-owned business based in Philadelphia that was founded in 2020 by Michelle, whose obsession with boba tea began in 2005 in Hong Kong. Before bubble tea's meteoric rise in the United States, Michelle had to hunt for bubble tea wherever she went. She’s tried bubble tea in a dozen countries--everything from mall boba to bubble tea trucks--and is so happy to witness the continued rise of boba's popularity in the United States. After several years of friends and family sending her links to boba tea merch and goods, Michelle decided to create her own boba brand, blending the fun of bubble tea with cute and whimsical animals and characters. Michelle's boys and husband help her come up with new character and product ideas, model boba clothes for her and often star in Bitsy Boba's funny bubble tea videos.
