My name is Demi, I have been making jewelry for as long as I can remember. My dad likes to tell the story of when I was so small I had to climb on a chair to reach the buffing wheel. I don't really remember that, but it is still probably true. I do remember going into his studio every day to ask: "Daddy, what ya doin?" "Making jewelry," he'd say. "Can I help?" And he would give me some little task that satisfied my need to make something. That was the beginning! That began a lifetime apprenticeship. Making jewelry paid my way through college to get a degree in Geography and then later it outgrew and replaced my urban planning day job. In 2010 Street Bauble was born, selling online and at festivals. When my dad retired, he gave me his wholesale customers. But sometimes he would call me and ask, "What ya doin?" "Making jewelry" I'd say. "Need any help?" he'd ask. My dad taught me that is life is better when you are creating. Creating beautiful things is in me, it's part of me. Gratefully that love has passed on to my own children. My jewelry is primarily created with precious metal wire: sterling silver and 14k gold filled. Rings are the meat of my business, but I also create earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Read their story
