About Chique Lixo Greeting Cards

Welcome to Chique Lixo, (Portuguese for chic garbage,) an earth friendly card line dedicated to celebrating life events – big – small and unique. Embracing the world view that every day should be a celebration and giving discarded objects the opportunity to “shine,” Chique Lixo is a distinctive collection created from junk mail, garbage, wrappers, tickets etc. and is embellished with watercolor. Re-purposing trash has programmed me to see everything for its potential rather than its past. (Maybe we should view people this way!) All cards begin their life with watercolor and evolve through a series of embellishments along the way. Careful attention is given to paper selection and many cards are touched with a bit of “bling” (glitter) – because a little fancy makes everything more special.Read their story
