About Jenne Rayburn

I grew up in rural farming country, an early influence that shaped a lifelong love of folk art, indigenous cultures, travel and storytelling. Raised with freedom, solitude and the safety of a small community, I learned to value heritage, simplicity and the quiet elegance of the natural world. These experiences taught me not only about art and design, but also how to be a design thinker. Design is my worldview—the lens through which I understand and engage with the world. I use empathy, creativity and rationality to solve complex problems. Trained as an architect and goldsmith, my work reflects daily life as experienced with my family, in nature, through travel, and in architecture. I am inspired by history and the connection to past civilizations found in ancient enameling and goldsmithing techniques. Fascinated by lineage, mythology, ancestry and identity, my jewelry explores ornament as a form of personal history, and is hopefully something enduring and timeless. I draw inspiration from beach stones, tree branches, landscapes, traditional textiles, worn architectural details, and vintage objects, just to name a few things! Through dreaming, sketching and making, I synthesize these experiences by hand into tangible new ideas and objects.Read their story
