Africalis Resin Jewelry, handcrafted in South Africa, is a story of artistry, empowerment and a celebration of the country's unique terrain, vibrant colors, wildlife and culture. Each hand-poured bead is meticulously crafted in our studio and then assembled by skilled young women in a rural area of South Africa. The jewelry allows these women to realize their creativity, develop skills for careers in fashion and design and have an independent livelihood. The founders, situated in both South Africa and the United States, bring long-time expertise in the international art market and the local business sector. Inspiration for select designs are drawn from local culture and the historic belief in the role of beaded adornment for ritual and connectivity with a spiritual universe.
