About Storymatic Studios
I’m Brian, and I created the original Storymatic for my college and high school writing classes. Over time, students started asking for their own copies to use with friends and family. Eventually I took their advice, and today Storymatic is a growing family of related products, including Storymatic Classic, Storymatic Kids, Rememory, and Synapsis, with close to 300,000 Storymatics sold worldwide. Each one explores a different aspect of storytelling, memory, and conversation, but they all come back to the same core idea: helping people come up with stories, start conversations, share memories, and connect. Storymatic lives in that nice overlap of creativity, education, and just having a good time. Writers go to it for prompts and to get unstuck, teachers use it in classrooms, families use it around the table or on trips, and many people use it as an icebreaker or for good old-fashioned, analog storytelling. Storymatic works especially well in indie bookstores, museum shops, and design-forward gift stores. It’s a hands-on, screen-free, non-competitive product that invites interaction and repeat use, and it benefits from being displayed where customers can pick it up and engage with it. We’re a small, independent company based in Vermont. Sometimes people think we’re part of a big corporation, but it’s really just me and my wife, Vaune, an artist. Everything is made in the U.S., and we ship directly from our studio in a historic mill in Brattleboro, Vermont.
