About TimberviewForge

TimberviewForge was started in October of 2021 by me and my husband, Tim, after learning about the Glowforge laser. This business was started as a "side hustle" but it is something we hope to grow and share with our son, Theo. My husband and I met and began dating 14 years ago in undergrad at Wingate University. I was the science nerd (a few degrees in biology and genetics) and he was the grungy art student covering my wheel throwing/pottery class, which I took to have some fun and express myself creatively (little did I know i'd get so much more out of that one class). We always thought we'd get back into pottery as a side hustle but four cross country moves, four job changes, wedding, a house, two dogs (Loretta and Max), a baby, job loss during pandemic, and new corporate job and there was just never the time. Scrolling IG one day I came across the Glowforge laser, a unique opportunity for us to start a business using Tim's graphic designer background and my organizational skills. So we said goodbye (for now) to our pottery dreams and purchased a Glowforge Pro. We offer handmade, laser cut goods and are also able to take custom requests, it's nice to have a graphic designer on hand.
