This affirmation deck comes with 26 positive affirmations (one for each letter of the alphabet!) as well as a brief explanation to help your child to connect to each affirmation. Some examples of the affirming words are KIND, WELL-SPOKEN, and NURTURING. I created this deck during the transition from one kid to two. I was experiencing a difficult postpartum season, which was creating a chasm between my daughter and me, and I was desperate to bridge that gap. I needed a way to connect with her even when I felt like I was in survival mode. More than that, I needed a way to remind her of her INNATE GOODNESS. This was my experience, and the catalyst for creating The A-Z Affirmation Cards for Kids. My hope was that these cards would be a place for her to hear my voice, even when I was having a hard time being present. I hoped they would help reinforce the positive traits and habits my husband and I were trying to instill in our daughter. I also hoped they would give her the confidence to stand firmly in her actions. We use this deck each morning by having her draw a card, reading the brief explanation, then talking about what the word can mean for her throughout the day. These positive affirmation cards are the size of a typical tarot deck, 2.75" X 4", and made with 330gsm high quality, durable card stock.
