Hi I'm Mindy Gist. Mellingfield is the creative studio where I illustrate collections designed for thoughtful, modern spaces. With over two decades of experience as a surface pattern designer and fashion illustrator, the studio’s work blends refined composition, expressive illustration, and a strong sense of storytelling. Now based in coastal Rhode Island after many years in Manhattan, the shift from a fast-paced city environment to a quieter, nature-driven setting has deeply influenced the work. Surrounded by the ocean, natural light, and open space, the focus has returned to illustration rooted in calm, imagination, and emotional warmth. Today, Mellingfield creates hand-illustrated artwork collections.
