After a messy, tiring and frustrating experience maintaining the cleanliness of her own son’s circumcision dressings, a young mother invented the Circure bandage. This multilayer, white petroleum jelly impregnated, wound dressing takes the mess away from the process and speeds up diaper changes. After the birth of their son Steven, Caroline and her husband were sent home from the hospital with a wad of gauze, a tube of petroleum jelly and an instruction sheet on how to keep the circumcision wound clean. By third night of messy diaper changes they chose to set up an assembly line of premade 4" x 4" squares of gooey gauze. That's when Caroline decided she would look for an alternative. Like every new mother she was determined to find a way to keep her baby clean and her life a little less stressful. That determination became an obsession and then the invention of the new Circure bandages. The patent-pending, multilayer, non-woven pads are sterilized, pre-lubricated and ready to use. With each diaper change for the first 7-10 days moms simply remove the old wrap, clean around the child, and wrap another one in place.
