About Kate Rowland
Kate is a jewellery designer and maker, working in Buckinghamshire, UK. She makes all her jewellery from wood, often using acrylic, gold leaf and semi-precious stones for details. Sustainability is so important to this small business, all the wood is FSC approved, and each piece is designed with the intention of producing as little waste as possible. Kate trained as an illustrator, and this comes across within her jewellery, with engraved drawings and details; this is modern, playful jewellery inspired by ancient artefacts, architecture and ornament. Kate works in a studio at home, where everything is designed and made in-house using a laser cutter.
