About Gilded Palms

I’m Hadden, a watercolor artist raised in the Magic City (Birmingham, AL) —a place where the air whispers with stories and hums of cicadas songs. Now, I live and create in Corpus Christi, Texas, where the sea and sky stretch endlessly, inviting my imagination to wander. My work is inspired by the South’s fascinating nature and style. I paint the South the way it feels—slow, sacred, and full of memory. Each painting is a love letter to nature, memory, and the quiet kind of magic that lingers in the land. Gilded Palms was created for the person who is in awe of their surroundings, and feels inspired and connected by all of life’s little creatures. Each painting is a shared familiar memory, like the sound of the screen door closing, or the thick humidity that hugs you in the summer.
