About Privé Pet

Privé Pet was born from my love for my soul dog, Dauphine-Bijoux, nicknamed “Fatty” for her all-consuming love of food, a 3.5 pound Chihuahua and puppy mill rescue who went everywhere with me. I trained at Parsons School of Design in New York, apprenticed in Valentino Garavani’s atelier in Rome, and later launched my own womenswear line, which was carried at Harvey Nichols, featured in InStyle Magazine, and worn by clients like Beth Stern and Paula Abdul. While working as a fashion designer in New York, I could not find a pet carrier that met my standards or was small enough for a 3.5 pound dog. Even the tiniest carriers overwhelmed her. I needed a functional bag that could hold Fatty’s essentials, plus my phone and keys, yet still look elegant enough to carry as a handbag. So I designed my own. People kept stopping me to ask where I got it, and that was when I realized there was a real need for what I was creating. Privé Pet combines couture-level attention to detail with pet-safe, cruelty-free materials. Every collar, carrier and accessory is thoughtfully designed to be as gentle on a pet’s skin as it is beautiful in a boutique, with high quality hardware, carefully chosen fabrics, and timeless silhouettes that feel more like jewelry than "pet gear."
