I’m David, and my Standard Poodle, Rowan has adventured all across Florida with me. A love for the water, dogs and the importance of knowing what you fuel your dogs with led to founding Florida Man Pet Treats. As a Palm Beach County native, I grew up enjoying these beaches before living in the Florida Keys with Rowan to run a dog grooming, boarding, retail business. We even briefly lived on a sailboat together, Rowan is the ultimate water dog. As an avid raw feeder, I’ve always believed in keeping things simple to secure the best nutrition for our dogs. Rowan is the best fishing buddy, whether by kayak, surf, or paddleboarding among the mangrove trails. His biggest joy however is to play in the beach and surf. This same ecosystem also serves as critically important sea turtle nesting habitats, our area is home to one of the world’s premier sea turtle research and rehabilitation facilities, the Loggerhead Marinelife center. The canaries of the ocean, understanding and protecting sea turtles is to understand and protect our water. That is why I focus on securing local fish, that aren't shipped in long voyages and are fresh, local and nutritious. Fish skin has one of the highest concentrations of Omega Oils in any fish species, and Mahi is a plentiful oceanic fish. Every product is made 100% by hand, packaged with love and on a mission to protect our coastal waters. Read their story
