Featured in luxury publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Forbes, and Coveteur, Carta was founded in 2017 by San Francisco-based perfumer, musician (of Au Revoir Simone), and ecologist, Heather D'Angelo. With Carta, D’Angelo explores the artistry of perfume influenced by her background in musical composition and scientific inquiry. Rooted in her passion for environmental conservation, D’Angelo’s romance with scents is shaped and driven by a commitment to conscious practices and a desire to share the stories behind Carta’s ingredients. Carta's pure parfums are blended in small batches and bottled by hand. All perfumes are formulated without artificial colorants, parabens, phthalates, and any other nasties, using ingredients that are organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and never include threatened or endangered plant species. A portion of the proceeds from all sales is donated to Carta's 1% for the Planet partner, Camino Verde, a reforestation NGO in the Peruvian Amazon.Read their story
