About Corgi Socks

Corgi was founded in 1892 by Carmarthenshire Draper Rhys Jones. Inspired by the purchase of some second hand knitting machines, Rhys began producing thigh-high woollen socks for local coal miners. Over time, his small range grew to include finer quality socks, perfect for men to wear to church on Sundays. Today, Rhys' obsession with quality and detail has been carried forward by his great, great grandchildren, Lisa Wood and Chris Jones, who continue to design and create the very best in socks and knitwear. Everything we create is still made from start to finish in Wales, as it was over 130 years ago.Read their story
