About TAMALE
Created by Roxanne N Utrecht, who after attending school in the social sector, worked in Retail for 12 years. The founder of Tamale, who always wanted to become her own boss, found the perfect compromise by combining her core vocation of supporting disadvantaged women from her continent of origin with her love for fashion. She therefore decided to create a society based on “mutual aid”. TAMALE is fashion and decorative accessories made from elephant herbs and Raphias, two herbs native to the tropical meadows of Africa. We made the choice to unite only with social enterprises, women's cooperatives, located in northern Ghana. These organizations, which work to participate in fair trade and which aim to encourage the empowerment of these numerous craftswomen with a process that allows them to create their own businesses.
