About Shakti.ism
Shakti.ism is a social enterprise that combats gender inequality by creating meaningful work for women from disadvantaged communities. We upcycle sari fabrics and use traditional crafts like block printing as a route to transferrable skills, employment, and financial independence for women. Today we partner with artisan groups in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. And recently we launched a new initiative to train a small group of women in Nakuru, Kenya.
