About Hattie & George

Laurence Ligon is the creative mind behind Hattie & George and has been sketching fresh patterns for almost 20 years, first with T-shirt designs during his college days to neckties. For 15 years, he was the principal designer with TribalTies, an exclusive men's clothing company, specializing in fashion accessories, from neckwear to suspenders. Those designs were featured in prestigious publications such as Essence, the Fashion Mannuscript, Wedding Dresses, and the Washington Post. Our shirts are intricately woven jacquard fabric rather than printed on the surface of the fabric and provide a richer, more sophisticated look. Constructed with luxury features like mother of pearl buttons, medium-weight, 100% cotton yarn for a softer texture and perfect drape, with tab collars that stand out from the everyday.
