It was only in a second time that its ornamental function became preponderant. Eggshell inlay (RANKAKU technique) is a common type of decoration in traditional and contemporary lacquer art. The white of the shells contrasts with the deep colors of the natural pigments. A thick lacquer then brings clarity, light and legibility to this fine mosaic. The quality and depth of lacquer is therefore based on multiple long and delicate operations. Very carefully crafted, all of Candice's creations are therefore unique and precious. Your creations are the work of several days. With the shell membrane gently removed, the shells are then put one by one with tweezers. So each piece is made with love by Candice. A great discovery for everyone.
