About Lightning Bug Gift Co.

Lightning Bug Gift Co. uses their designs to highlight the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. They focus not on the major cities but the small town and natural places in-between. Small batch, locally made goods to show off your local and Pennsylvania pride! Their products are created by in-house or in collaboration with other Pennsylvanian makers and artists. Chris Bencivenga and Becki Hollen are the people behind Lightning Bug. They are artists and printmakers who have been working collaboratively, under the name everyday balloons print shop, for the last 8 years. After relocating to the Altoona area from Pittsburgh, they decided to put their printing and design skills to use to create area specific apparel and gift items. This also opened up the opportunity for collaboration with other makers and artists that they've met over the years in art show circuit. The Lightning Bug store front opened in May 2019 on Allegheny St. in historic downtown Hollidaysburg. In addition to the retail gift shop, they also offer custom design and screen printing services to area businesses, organizations, and groups.Read their story
