About Betsy Dare

Betsy Dare is about bringing bold bags and accessories to people who thrive on compliments. People who treat red and hot pink like neutrals. People who think fashion "statement" sounds a little boring, when the word "exclamation" is sitting right there. Betsy Dare is the love child of designer Kristin Lambert and the 1980's (yes, the whole decade). The early 90's was probably there, too, and the 60's and 70's. The 20's might've been there, but that night's a little fuzzy now. You get it, though. If it happened in the past century, and was bright and fun and a little "too much," we probably love it. We're a small business owned and operated by women, who — if we do say so ourselves — are all smart and funny and collectively know everything there is to know about local gossip, celebrity scandals, politics, books that are good, books that are terrible, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Victorian ghost boys, Taylor Swift, Brandi Carlile and Dolly Parton. We have so much fun talking about all these things every day, and we hope you find something fun here, too — something to let you dance the way you want to, without having to hold your phone in your hand.
