About Jenny & Co

I’m Jenny, an artist originally from Belfast and now based in West Kirby on the Wirral, where I create my work from my studio and shop, Jenny & Co. My artwork is inspired by the things and places around me - familiar landmarks, much-loved animals and pets, and ordinary everyday objects that catch my eye, usually with a little bit of fun thrown in. Every piece starts with pen and paint. I then add tiny pieces of Liberty fabric before finishing the artwork with free-machine stitching. I love combining traditional drawing and painting with fabric and stitch, adding unexpected little details that make each piece feel a bit different. If you look closely, you’ll nearly always find a little slither of Liberty fabric somewhere! My prints are created from these original mixed-media artworks, keeping all the character, texture and tiny stitched details of the originals while making them accessible and easy to give, collect and enjoy. Jenny & Co is also my working studio, so customers can often see artwork being created while they browse. I care about making art that feels joyful, personal and beautifully made — the sort of piece that makes someone stop, look a little closer and smile. Everything begins here in West Kirby, with a pen, some paint, a scrap of Liberty fabric and quite a lot of stitching.Read their story
