At Can of Sardines, we believe amazing things can come in small packages! Born from a late-night brainstorming session, a shared love for the vibrant artwork of vintage tinned-fish packaging, and a strong desire to break away from the "sad beige" trend dominating the kids' market, our Brooklyn-based brand is a celebration of childhood in all its cheeky, colorful glory. We are a niece-and-aunt team combining two distinct creative worlds. As a children’s book illustrator, I (the niece) design the whimsical characters and bright color palettes that give our pieces their unique personality. My aunt brings years of experience in apparel design for major brands, keeping our quality and logistics sharp. Together, we make clothing for kids who deserve to wear things as fun, silly, and creative as they are. Every onesie and tee is made to order by the two of us in our small Brooklyn studio space. We use 100% cotton and heat-transfer our original illustrations in-house to ensure every piece is vibrant, durable, and ready for playtime.
