At OBX Prep, we’re a small family-run brand rooted in love for the Outer Banks and a passion for creativity. Founded by twin sisters with the support of our incredible mom, we design, handcraft, and hand-paint jewelry, accessories, and home decor inspired by the coastal charm and natural beauty of our OBX home. From hand-painted hair claws to keep your hair stylishly tucked away in the salty breeze, to personalized holiday pieces and beachy statement earrings, every item is created locally with intention, whimsy, and a whole lot of heart. Whether it’s a coastal Christmas ornament or a custom door hanger, our work is a celebration of small-town community, ocean waves, and a laid-back but artful lifestyle. We’re proud to give back through our Shop for Good program, supporting local causes and community needs. We also personally volunteer with N.E.S.T., a sea turtle rescue and conservation group here on the Outer Banks — because protecting what inspires us most is part of who we are. Our order took 2 months from order to delivery date. I know there was a huge storm so I was understanding of the delay but when we received the products we were a bit disappointed. Cute as they are they aren’t the quality I was expecting for the price point and there’s no return option so we will just have to eat these costs but that’s the risk we take ordering online I suppose.

It took a month to receive 4 door hangers. Upon receipt product is very lightweight, beautifully painted but paint spots on back make it a little hard to resell at the suggested price point. Looks very juvenile finished.

This brand does not follow thru as stated on delivery dates. They also say items are shipped when clearly on the tracking it states that it’s awaiting pickup. It just feels like it’s a lot of excuses instead of just saying we haven’t shipped it yet. I am sure the items are cute, but I never got the opportunity to see them.
