About Stowe Mercantile Kitchen

Stowe Mercantile Kitchen is a family owned and operated Vermont business producing Vermont made crackers and baking mixes. Stowe Mercantile, located on Main Street in Stowe Village, was founded by Marc Sherman in 1988 and has operated continuously since then. in 2019, Marc opened his commercial kitchen and worked with his daughter Abby to develop a line of crackers and baking mixes. The product line up is approaching 19 items which have been tested in Stowe Mercantile for shelf appeal, customer acceptance and strong sales. The crackers are all great sellers, and the mixes have simple to follow instructions, minimal ingredients and no added preservatives! Our packaging is designed to maximize shelf presence, creating a visually exciting display for your customers. In 2023, Erin Welch, Marc's stepdaughter, joined the Stowe Mercantile Kitchen team. She quickly added new products, helped to redesign packaging and was integral in expanding sales. Jamie Legacy took over management of Stowe Mercantile Kitchen in fall of 2024. A 20-year Army Veteran, he brings a new level of efficiency and fresh ideas to the Team as we continue to grow.
