At Twin Bee Coffee, we believe that coffee can be a source of good in the world. Our partner, JNP Coffee, imports green coffee and most importantly, gives back a premium directly to the farmers. This premium, while it doesn’t have any fancy certifications associated with it is called dushime™ – and the farmers actually make more than fair trade, direct trade, and all of the names we’ve heard of. But sometimes JNP Coffee can’t sell all of their green coffee. Instead of letting the farmers go without, Twin Bee Coffee was born. We buy the excess green coffee and have it roasted using excess capacity at various roasters around the country with the end goal of getting money into the hands of the farmers.
