About Retrovert Candles
Founded in the Midwest, Retrovert Candles was born from a lifelong love of art, history, and timeless design. Inspired by countless visits to the Art Institute of Chicago, our founders sought to bring the beauty of classic paintings, antique textiles, and historic decorative arts into everyday living. Each candle blends vintage artistry with modern craftsmanship. Our labels feature carefully curated public-domain artwork, historic textiles, and iconic patterns that celebrate the elegance of the past while creating a distinctive, collectible aesthetic. Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using sustainable coconut-apricot wax, phthalate- and paraben-free fragrance oils, and 100% cotton wicks for a clean, even burn. All components are thoughtfully sourced in the USA and selected to provide a clean-air, pet-friendly experience. Choose from multiple fragrance options and vintage-inspired label designs, each hand-finished so no two are exactly alike. We also partner with select retailers to create custom and private-label collections while maintaining the same commitment to premium craftsmanship and timeless design.
