Our Ancestories was founded by Ekiuwa Aire, a Nigerian-Canadian cultural connector who, unable to find African books to teach her children, decided to create them herself. With a passion for storytelling and a desire to preserve African heritage, she brought African history to life through engaging, beautifully illustrated storybooks that celebrate African legends, culture, and innovation. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to empowering the next generation with knowledge of their roots. Whether through collaborations with schools, curriculum inclusion, or interactive virtual author visits, Our Ancestories is dedicated to inspiring children to connect with their roots, empowering them through timeless lessons of African history, and making African history accessible and engaging for all.
