I’ve always been a creator at heart. From the time I could hold a crayon, I was drawing, designing, and exploring any creative outlet I could find. In high school, I discovered my dad’s vintage 35mm camera—and that sparked my journey into photography. That passion led to a degree and a creative career that eventually brought me to something new: a Macintosh computer. I transitioned from the darkroom to the digital world and spent years as a Senior Graphic Designer working with major companies like Exxon, Compaq, and HP. While the work was rewarding, it was never truly mine. So, on my 50th birthday, with my wife’s full support, I left the corporate world behind to pursue something more personal—designing and creating vintage-style metal signs and rustic wall décor under my own brand: Lone Star Art. Today, I lead a team of talented folks who help me handcraft our signs right here in the USA. Every design we make is built with one purpose: to bring warmth, character, and personality into people’s homes and businesses.
