About Barclay Mountain Candles

My Story: My husband and I would go to the store. I would see candles and go over to smell them, I had an obsession. I used to purchase cases of candles. So after 13.5 years, I decided that I wanted to leave my retail manager position with a well “known” children’s plush industry. I wasn’t sure which direction I wanted to go in. So, after a few months I thought, what’s my passion? I answered my own question… candles! So the journey began with reading & reading, trying to educate myself on all the aspects of the business. The more I learned, the farther I wanted to go and so after purchasing a few kits, I was ready to give it a try. Moving forward I had my successes and a few failures, especially during the testing phase. Then it was finally time to come up with a business name, I thought about it and came up with Barclay Mountain Candles, the two things I love. If you notice on the label has four trees, they’re for our four grandchildren… Christian, Isabella, Benjamin and Logan! I couldn’t have done this without my family behind me!
