About MarcoLooks
Former Cbeebies animator, Marc Godfrey-Murphy (MarcoLooks) is a York based illustrator and independent card publisher. Everything you see has been illustrated by Marc himself. Most of the lettering you see on his cards is his actual handwriting. Making colour a priority and with an attitude not to take life too seriously, he has been designing silly and colourful cards since 2018. A permanent list of the funny things friends and family say lives in his phone, ready to be turned into new designs. Working with his local community, Marc was recently commissioned to design the York Christmas Nutcracker trail for 2024 and 2025. He designed ten, six foot Nutcrackers to entertain residents and the Christmas shoppers alike. Brands that Marc has worked with include Fenwick, Oxfam, Hole in Wand, York BID and Indie Makers (logo and branding design). Marc works best with music or podcasts on in his studio. The love and attention poured into his work, hopefully translates to joy for the audience who engage with his work. Wish I'd ordered sooner! I've only had his cards in my store a few days, but they're already flying off the shelves. Had two customers buy cards straight from the delivery box before I'd had a chance to put them on the shelves! The cards are great quality & the bright colors stand out on a busy card wall. Marc's communication was fantastic - I got a message right away thanking me for my order and updates along the way. The candies in the order were greatly appreciated too :P I couldn't recommend it more!
