About Wild Blue Yonder

I have always been a bit of a scavenger. On trips or hikes - even as a kid - I was often compelled to pick up some interesting bit of bark or wood to take home with me as a keepsake. There is something very special about an object you find while out in nature. For me, it signified a sense of adventure, recalled specific memories and relationships, and (along with a healthy dose of nostalgia) captured a fleeting moment in time. This impulse to collect led me to my early wood and resin experiments, which steadily grew into my craft practice as it exists today. Since launching WBY in 2016, I am grateful to have worked as a maker, artist and entrepreneur. I sell my work in approximately 25 galleries and shops across Canada and the USA, including the Art Gallery of Ontario and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. In March 2020 I moved with my family from Canada to Maastricht, Netherlands. With the help of a business partner in Canada, we still base most of our shipments and sales from Ontario, but I create everything in my cozy Dutch studio. I am now beginning to grow my reach in Europe & beyond. I am very grateful for a life of creating art daily, drawing inspiration from time spent in nature and exploring this beautiful earth.
