About Record Props®

With a background in art and communication, I've always been drawn to large-format media. And in this case, with unique vinyl colors, beautiful album cover details, and random surprises hidden therein, I wanted a better way to celebrate that combination of purposeful details in my decades of collecting—the art of vinyl records. Nothing on the market existed, so in 2015, I began prototyping. From handmade cardboard models to acrylic layering on the laser printer, to fully functional demos, and eventually full manufacturing, the evolution of Record Props was a process of rapid iteration and learning. As a designer by trade, my perfectionist mentality has led to multi-functional product design with intricate details that matter. This is what I've come to expect from the products that have historically inspired me. Now, through a strong network of talented designers and engineers, we've continued to improve on the original concept. Record Props started as an idea to solve my own challenge, and it's turned into a product I continue to use every day alongside a growing community of art and music enthusiasts.
