ODDOBODY is a functional, 100% organic cotton basics brand that disarms, inspires and promotes a science-backed conversation about bodies. Founders Shira and Abby were always told by their moms to wear cotton underwear, so they did, without really understanding why. Now they're moms themselves, and often think about the advice they want to pass along to their daughters - realizing the lack of education they had themselves. when it comes to underwear, there's research that shows that mom’s advice is true—most doctors agree that 100% cotton really is best for our bodies. ODDOBODY was created to give a nod to the female networks of yore, especially our original inspiration—our bodies, ourselves—and to all the organizations, midwives, doulas, healers of today supporting autonomy over our own bodies; simply put, we created ODDOBODY to better understand the ways of our bodies. We now think of 100% organic cotton underwear as a direct reflection of this desire to take control of our own health and wellness. subsequently, we think knowing more about our bodies and feeling empowered in our bodies are fully intertwined.
