About Black Angel Designs

Black Angel Designs started quite by accident, as I didn’t set out to be an artist. (In fact, I kind of giggle when I’m called that as I can’t draw a straight line.) But I do love to create and luckily, graphic design allows me to do that in my day job as a marketing director. So using those skills and a process I had previously learned, I figured I’d make a few kitchen signs to sell with our previous business at Chicago street fests. People seemed to like them, so I added a few more designs. Being in the greatest city on earth gave me more inspiration as I added new products based on the rich history, sports, and traditions of Chicago. Then came the sassy home decor. (I can’t cook so it's really the only way I could contribute in the kitchen.) We continue to add designs and products to put smiles on our customers' faces and provide creative gifts. This is truly a family business as all the coasters and signs are handmade by my husband, Graig, and I will help from our parents and our 3 children.
