About Written Word Calligraphy

Our shop specializes in stunningly designed calligraphy and wax seal tools for calligraphers of all levels and stationery enthusiasts, a juxtaposition of form and function. In 2020, we launched our online academy of calligraphy courses, and alongside that we launched a line of calligraphy products to help beginners jumpstart their calligraphy journey - including a calligraphy starter kit, practice pads, pens, inkwells and more. We are launching more products on a regular basis that would continue to elevate this line. Our wax seal collection came about when we crafted a lot of wedding invitations but there wasn't a beautiful line of wax seals anywhere, so we created our mid-century modern brass seal handle, with unique, hand-drawn designs by our founder, Karla Lim. We've expanded this line to include brass wax seal stoves, muted color sealing wax, and various helpful tools to make wax sealing easy. And in 2024, we added our own mini wax seal collection as well.Read their story
