Un'azienda tutta al femminile. Sevengrams è stata fondata alla fine del 2009 a Milano da Mary, Angelita, Anna e Daniela Mauro: quattro sorelle nate in una famiglia con una lunga e consolidata storia nella torrefazione italiana, che si sono date l’obiettivo di rilanciare l’espresso italiano, trasformando un semplice rito quotidiano in una memorabile esperienza degustativa. Dopo aver venduto nel 2008 le proprie quote nella vecchia azienda di famiglia, forti della solida esperienza costruita in anni di attività, hanno intrapreso una nuova sfida imprenditoriale con un progetto che potesse superare gli schemi di comunicazione tradizionale del settore per raggiungere direttamente al cuore – in modo trasparente e professionale – gli appassionati dell’espresso in tutto il mondo. Un team di sole donne, dunque, consolidato dall’incontro con Chiara Bergonzi, trainer SCA, consulente e personaggio autorevole del mondo dello specialty coffee, che da anni è ormai parte integrante del team Sevengrams, nella gestione dei programmi di formazione del Coffee Studio, nello sviluppo e nella consulenza sui clienti e, naturalmente, nell’attività di produzione con il progetto Lot Zero di cui è cofondatrice.
