About Munbeibi
Hannah Stinson is a ceramic artist and illustrator. She has been making Munbeibis (moon-bay-bee, Finnish for my baby) sculpted ceramic figurines, since 2015, which come from a story she created about a group of moon rocks that descend from the Moon to Earth, drawn here by their curiosity about humans, the forest, seashores, and snacks. Hannah’s ceramic and illustrative work is intended to evoke tenderness, rediscovery of lost childhood whimsies, and the exploration of hidden worlds that exist inside each of us. Hannah grew up in the redwoods of Northern California, and is now based on Vancouver Island where she lives with her hubby and two cats.
