About Charlotte Joanne

Welcome to Charlotte Joanne and thank you for stopping by to learn a little more about me. I am an illustrator based in Surrey, England. I love to draw with many forms of media but I mainly work with watercolours and sometimes acrylics to create little works of art that I can print onto cards! I love to draw all sorts but my main love is nature. I began my card making journey about five years ago, creating hand painted Christmas cards for friends and family. I sat on the floor in my front room at the coffee table and just drew whatever came to mind and learned a long the way how to use watercolours. They went down so well I started making more to sell. I still today create hand painted cards today, but as I am sure you will agree it is nice to have a digital copy! When Covid hit in 2021, I like many others was furloughed from work for months. I used this time to get to know Photoshop, a software I very much had a ‘hate, hate’ relationship with since trying to learn how to use it at University! My relationship with photoshop is now much better and I'd say I am now competent with it! I now had the tools to enable me to get my drawings printed! Yay! From thereon I have continued to get to know my style, exhibit at craft fairs and sell online. I am so happy that I can share my work with the world - and the world my artwork has travelled, including the USA, Australia, Canada, France, Germany and Greece.
