Social Justice Jewelry is a Black, woman-owned business based in Austin, TX. Alaine Hutson is our founder and CEO. Alaine's parents grew up in segregation and lost family members to racial injustice. Their experiences led her to become a professional historian and social justice advocate. Our stainless steel jewelry is designed to support progressive activists, advocates and allies in spreading the word that injustice is bad for your health. Social Justice Jewelry is size-inclusive and elevates messages of peace, strength, equity and humanity in pieces that can be worn every day. Our bestsellers are: the Allergy Cuffs that say “I Am Allergic to Racism” and “I Am Allergic to Homophobia”; the Antidote Cuffs that say “Treat with Kindness” and “Treat with Love” and the Ally Cuff that says “I Am an Ally for Social Justice." The Power of Peace logo is as African American as she is. The inner Adinkra symbol is the eagle’s talon from West Africa; like the American bald eagle, it is a symbol for power or bravery: the outer ring is olive branches signifying peace and on many US seals.Read their story
