We've always valued the creative process, but life steered us into other careers; I have been a professor of Environmental Engineering for over thirty years, and my wife raised our children while working in business management. In a surprising twist of fate, what could have been a sad transition for our daughter, turned into an opportunity that would change our lives. The greeting card company our daughter worked for eliminated all of their letterpress division. She loved designing and we (her mother and father) didn't want to see her quit something she loved so much. We made the most frightening and best decision of our lives: with faith, determination, and some retirement funds we started a letterpress company of our own. Paper Bandit Press prints uniquely designed greeting cards, posters, and custom paper products on two vintage letterpresses.
