About Despy Boutris

I started making zines during the height of COVID-19's lockdown — when, more than ever, we were eager to find connection. My decision to use zines, in particular, as an outlet for my creativity was borne out of the desire to communicate with others through an accessible & affordable art object. Two years later, I still have a passion for book arts and their ability to serve as artifacts, to participate in activism, and to foster community between people. Read their story
