About Waxwing Designs

Juliana Sukut is a self-taught gouache artist who lives and creates in Bozeman, Montana. Partial to birds, she loves to paint the animals and landscapes found in her home state. She picked up painting in 2022 after she was given a set of gouache paints. Originally supposed to be a relaxing hobby, she took it way too seriously and after a year or so of playing around, many, many mistakes and a lot of bad art, she figured out she had a knack for it. She decided to pursue art full-time in 2024 and left her career in journalism. In her free time, Juliana can be found skiing, hiking, kayaking and basking in Montana’s nature.
