Theo and Alex met while working as baristas in the UK coffee scene. Both were deeply involved in specialty coffee, even winning national brewing competitions. Over time, they became disillusioned with the complexity and exclusivity of the specialty coffee industry—things like confusing brewing methods, elitist jargon, and overly experimental flavors.
