About Fer à Cheval
Since 1856, Savonnerie Fer à Cheval has been perpetuating the method of manufacturing and saponifying Marseille soap in a cauldron. Our soap factory, rooted in Living Heritage, is proud to continue to make a flagship product of Marseille's cultural heritage with tradition and passion. We have kept a craftsman's soul, and patiently make a soap that is not perfect but alive and well. Listed as a Historic Monument, our soap factory offers products based on olive and vegetable oils that meticulously respect the manufacturing process of the Edict of Colbert dating from 1688. We accompany you in each room of your home with the different Fer à Cheval worlds: home maintenance, scented soaps, hair & body care and accessories.
