In 2010, with the United States in a major recession, and her husband’s business in trouble, founder DeAnna Gardner, was struggling to keep a roof over her family’s head. Having spent years in the dental field watching patients who had just had their teeth whitened, suffer from sensitivity, she had an idea for a product she thought was needed: an at-home teeth whitening kit which would professionally whiten teeth and remove stains from caps, crowns, and porcelain veneers, without the pain. She worked with a laboratory to develop a formula and in 2011 launched Smile SciencesTM. The result is a 100% cruelty-free and vegan formula, which is gentle on teeth, gentle on the environment, kosher, and FDA registered. In the years since its launch, Smile SciencesTM has seen amazing success.
