About Ak Yol Atelier

Since my arrival in France I have realized my passion: working with leather. I started out as an autodidact by learning basic techniques on the internet. I perfected myself through training in CAP leather goods and I practiced nine months as an apprentice at HERMÈS. It is with the creation in 2020 of my self-company AK YOL Atelier that I can fully express my ideas for designing and manufacturing small leather goods objects. My ambition is to produce the best quality in a unique style. To do this, I design patterns and select the most renowned leathers, originating from French, Italian or Japanese tawns and tanneries concerned with ethical and environmental issues. I use “Chinese linen thread” of French production or MeiSi of Chinese origin. I cut and sew by hand. I treat the edges and do the polishing. For dyeing, I use Alta-leather cold or hot depending on the products. My great pride is when my clients recognize the excellence of my leather goods, not only by their elegance and the beauty of their leather, but also by details in the precision of the stitching and assembly.Read their story
