We are a small company born out of the need for a better "mousetrap" rod holder for fishing. Particularly for "spider fishing" from a pontoon boat (using more than one rod at a time all around the boat). Something that was better than homemade PVC rod holders, which get brittle in the sun and can shatter. And a rod holder was completely made and assembled in the USA providing a limited lifetime warranty for the end user. Fully tested and used on a pontoon boat for one of the best bass fishing guides in central Florida, Richard "Dick" Loupe with the Southern Outdoorsman Guide Service since 2009. Although he guides for Largemouth Bass, not Crappie or Bluegill, he and his wife fun fish for panfish every chance they get so the rod holders have been thoroughly tested and are still in use after being on the pontoon boat for over fifteen years, and they work perfectly and show very little, if any, wear. He also uses the rod holders for trolling and still fishing for Bass. After designing the Triple Bay Box rod holder, and utilizing the Single Bay rod holder for spaces too short for the Triple Bay Box rod holder (like the door railing, etc), we had numerous requests for a triple that could be attached to theflat surface of a regular boat gunnel and also to the flat surfaces of dock and piers, so the Triple Bay Flat rod holder was created.
